Welcome to Founties Mounties !
The club is based in the Free State, Bloemfontein.
The club has it origin from a couple of passionate mountain bike riders who rode every Saturday morning for the past 9 years just for some fitness and fun.
These riders not only had a passion for mountain biking, but also for people. They wanted to see mountain biking grow in the Free State and share their years of experience from various disciplines in cycling to the benefit of any person willing to acquire these new skills.
During 2008 the group of mountain bikers grew to such a number of participants who wanted not only just to ride for fun, but also to ride more seriously. The decision was taken to officialise the club to give a home to these riders and be able to raise some funds to help in purchasing new bikes to assist in sharing mountain biking to new riders.
The club is for any cyclist, the old, the young, the newbie, the experienced,the pro, the roadie, the bmxer, the downhiller, the mountain biker, the trackie for just a good fun time on the bike or to give it horns!
It is the management team's heart to see mountain biking grow, but also to have fun and to see people grow into the more God has for them through cycling. No offence to the other cycling disciplines, but we will currently only organise mountain bike races ,rides and skill clinics , check out the event page for more details of what's going on.
